Who are entitled to use the housing guarantee?
New students starting education in the fall semestre.
When can I apply for the housing guarantee?
You can apply for the Housing Guarantee in the period from July 1st – August 31st on www.studieboligaalborg.dk. From September 1st it is not possible to apply for the Housing Guarantee.
Notice: If you do not wish to receive any offer before you get accepted at your education, you should not sign up for the Housing Guarantee before after you know for sure.
How do I apply for housing guarantee?
You must make an application at the homepage www.studieboligaalborg.dk. After registration you must log in to your application and sign up for the Housing Guarantee (In Danish: BOLIGGARANTI). This function is only accessible if you meet the requirements.
(Please notice! It is not possible to sign up for "boliggaranti" outside the following period, July 1st - August 31st)
How do I know that I am registered?
You get an email when your are registered for the housing guarantee. That email is the proff that you are registered.
Which accommodation types will I be offered?
You may be offered all types of single-room accommodations shown on www.studieboligaalborg.dk – even accommodation types, that you have not applied for at your application profile. It can be accommodation with own or shared facilities.
How many offers will I get?
You only get one offer through the Housing Guarantee.
What happens if I turn down or fail to respond the offer from the housing guarantee?
If you turn down the offer or fail to respond the offer, your registration for the Housing Guarantee will be deleted, but your application on the general waiting list will be maintained. If your registration for the Housing Guarantee is deleted, you will not be able to make use of the Startup Housing of Aalborg Municipality.
What happens with my regular application if I accept an offer from the housing guarantee?
Your regular application is suspended while making contract and waiting for payment. If you want to reactivate your regular application afterwards, you must send an email to boliggaranti@aalborg.dk. Then we make sure that you keep your seniority. In that case please remember, that you must add your wishes again.
When will it be possible to takeover the offered accommodation?
You may be offered accommodation with takeover from August 1st - December 15th. even though you have a different wished date for takeover listed at your profile.
What happens if I am enrolled in another city?
If you accept a Housing Guarantee offer for takeover August 1st or August 15th, and you thereafter are enrolled in another city, you must terminate your accommodation and we will try to re-rent your accommodation as soon as possible.
What happens if I turn down or fail to respond the offer from the general waiting list ?
If you turn down an offer or fail to respond an offer from the general waiting list your registration for the Housing Guarantee will be deleted. And you will not be able to make use of the Startup Housing of Aalborg Municipality.
How can I cancel my application for the housing guarantee?
You can always cancel your application for the Housing Guarantee and maintain your general application. Please log in to you application and choose deregister housing guarantee (In danish: "Frameld dig boliggarantien")
What happens if I turn down or fail to respond the offer from the general waiting list ?
If you turn down an offer or fail to respond an offer from the general waiting list your registration for the Housing Guarantee will be cancelled.
If my registration is cancelled, can I register again?
If you are deregistered the Housing Guarantee, you cannot register again.
What do I do if I not get any offers from housing guarantee before my studies starts?
If you are not offered accommodation before your studies starts, the Municipality of Aalborg also has an arrangement called “Startup Housing”, which you can use - until you are offered accommodation through the Housing Guarantee. NOTICE: If you turn down an offer or fail to respond an offer from the general waiting list or the Housing Guarantee you will not be able to make use of the Startup Housing of Aalborg Municipality.
How can I proff that I am allowed to get accommodation through the housing guarantee?
Before August 31st, to submit proof of enrolment at an institution of education in Aalborg beginning in the autumn semester. Please send it to boliggaranti@aalborg.dk.
What happens if I do not send proof of enrollment?
If you do not submit any proof of enrollment, your registration on the Housing Guarantee will be deleted, and any accommodation already allocated, will be terminated.
Which proofs are accepted?
Admission letter or other written confirmation from the place of education, copy of apprenticeship contract, documentation for State education grant.
