What is Startup Housing?
Startup Housing ensures that you as a student, who start your study in the Municipality of Aalborg (Aalborg Kommune), will be sure to have a temporary roof over your head, if you have not found housing yourself. We will make sure that you have a place to stay until you soon find a place to live. Startup Housing lasts four months from study start mid August.
Startup Housing means that you will be sure to have accommodation at BBBB in Aalborg, Cabins (the hostel), and you will receive a subsidy from the Municipality of Aalborg to help pay the expenses.
In order to be comprised by Startup Housing, you must comply with all the conditions laid down by the Municipality of Aalborg – see below under: "You must be particularly aware that".
It is very important that you get fully familiar with the rules and conditions, as you will not be covered by Startup Housing if you do not comply with all the requirements.
This pamphlet elaborates and explains some of the conditions. We will also inform you about the terms of accommodation under Startup Housing.
You must be particularly aware of:
Name: Per Ingvin 70730
You will only receive a subsidy, if your applicant number is noted after your name. If your applicant number has not been noted, you must pay the full expenses for the accommodation yourself.
See the next page for how to find your applicant number at Studiebolig Aalborg.
The booking is open from 1 August to 15 September.
How to find your applicant number at Studiebolig Aalborg

Follow-up and control
The Municipality of Aalborg makes an ongoing control of whether you comply with the conditions in Startup Housing. If you do not comply with the conditions, the municipal subsidy no longer applies, and you must pay the full amount for accommodation at the hostel (or move out).
Where are you going to stay – accommodation
Startup Housing covers temporary accommodation at BBBB in Aalborg, Cabins (the hostel).
In peak periods and in case of considerable demand on Startup Housing you can be accommodated elsewhere or in residential containers in the hostel area. In these situations each cabin or residential container may hold up to six persons.
You yourselves must keep the cabins or residential containers (and possibly rooms) clean.
There is very limited room for personal belongings during the accommodation, so you should only count on having room for a suitcase.
There is no special safekeeping storage for valuables or other things at the hostel.
Facilities, etc.
The hostel has common kitchen and bathroom facilities. When many people stay at the hostel, there may be a wait for the kitchen and bathroom facilities.
The kitchen has a limited supply of kitchen equipment. You should bring or purchase kitchen equipment and utensils yourself (pot, pan, tableware, cutlery, etc.), if you want to cook in the kitchen. Remember to clean up after yourself. All cabins have small refrigerators, as do some of the residential containers.
The common living room has free Internet, but you can also buy Internet subscription at the reception.
The hostel has washing machines and clothes dryers, which you can use at a fee.
Questions/problems regarding the accommodation
You can contact the hostel staff, if you have questions or problems regarding the accommodation.
The hostel will do their best to handle all the different situations that arise as soon as the situation allows it, and are always willing to help.
We wish you good luck finding a place to stay and welcome you to the Municipality of Aalborg.
